The PRI Print Gateway acts as a translator for DICOM print commands originating directly from diagnostic modalities or from a PACS. It allows any Windows® printer to function like a medical DICOM printer and is designed to maximize efficiency. 

DICOM services supported include Basic Grayscale Print Management SCP, Basic Color Print Management SCP and SCP verification.

Supports the functionality of PRI Basic plus:

• Manages load balancing when multiple printers are used on a network. 
• Sophisticated load balancing functionality will automatically distribute the printing workload among any printers that match defined distribution rules.  This not only guarantees optimal utilization of available printers and expedites print jobs, but it also provides efficient failover functionality if a networked printer is not working.
• Manages simultaneous printing requests for printing on different paper sizes.
• Directs images from one specific source, such as a color doppler ultrasound, to a specific printer, such as a thermal color printer. Once distribution rules are established, the process is automated and hassle-free.
